Running away with time🏃🏽♀️💨💨💨

What is time? and who decided there should be such a structured thing like time?
I am guessing it is to justify the changes we constantly see around us such as night and day , the four seasons etc. and to have some sort of order .... Us humans always feel the need to come up with explanations for everything 🙄. Sometimes just chill.
Rushing.We all do it in our day to day lives. rushing to work , rushing home and back again the next day ,looking forward to friday. This is due to the whole concept of 9-5. This has become the norm.
However, it has also become the norm in all other aspects of our life too. "I can't wait to finish school" , "I can't wait to move out" ,"I can't wait until I turn 18" instead of actually enjoying the moment. When you do this it is very likely you will get to a certain age and look back feeling disappointed because you didn't ever take a second to breath, look around and enjoy the moment. I even found my self rushing with releasing things for this website and i had to take a step back and tell myself that i need to take my time because when i rush things it tends to not go quite how i expected 🙈.
Also, I don't know about other mums but as a mum I tend to be a sucker for this. " I can't wait for my baby to start eating" "I can't wait for my baby to sit up" or "I can't wait to go back to work" and before you know it they are teenagers giving us some bright attitude 😂. Mums! Savour every single second with your babies because time waits for nobody! while you are wishing they could do this and that you are most probably missing out on all the little things they are doing. As well as this, ALL BABIES LEARN AT DIFFERENT TIMES , don't rush them!

This is the fast life generation , in particular London(My home town🏡🌃) seems to be a very fast paced ,Chaotic environment. We all want money,power and success NOW and waiting isn't ever a option. If you stop moving for a second you "fall behind". When in reality there is no "behind". there is only a "behind" if you believe you have to live in the four walls of societies standards. If you follow your own mind and focus on what you personally want to achieve instead of trying to achieve what everyone else is, you wont have this issue.
In reality quite a lot of people do not work hard for their money or their career. People skip past the whole step of working either by selling themselves short or cheating and end up not appreciating what they have. So when you see people and think they are ahead of you remind yourself that there is no such thing as ahead and behind. Everyone's life works differently... If everyone achieved the same things at the same time the world would be a very boring place to live.
Enjoying the moment can be as small as enjoying your plate of food or enjoying time spent with family instead of calling these things boring.
Here are some tips to start enjoying in the moment and being more conscious of life as it happens (This doesn't mean you cant plan for the future) ;
When you notice yourself rushing ,take 10 seconds to breath and ask yourself "do I need to rush , or would what I am trying to achieve benefit from me taking my time?"
Slow down a bit by doing one thing at a time (this means your full effort will go into this task)
Make your actions more deliberate instead of scatty and random(really think things through)
Practice some mindfulness exercises or meditation💆🏽
Have some YOU time (we can be so caught up in day to day life that we forget to save time for ourselves to realign our energy)💃🏽
Stop worrying SO much about the future (this doesn't mean to not care, but don't focus all your energy on this on thing that isn't here yet)
Thank you so much for reading this post😊, i hope you can relate to it and if so i hope it was helpful. As you all know i really enjoy cooking and i do it well 😉( if i say so myself) , cooking is actually one of my ways that i realign my energy. It is sort of a meditation method for me. Different things work for different people but i would really recommend it (along with cleaning of course , you do not want to be left with a messy house as this will just clutter your mind)
Ps. This blog page is mainly a method to help me to de-clutter my mind by writing down what i am dealing with or thinking about. I called it "The cooking mama" because I am a mum that can cook and all posts are written by me. Also, i love sharing things with people such as my recipes. I created this website to help people out (with cooking , their babies and coping with the stresses of being a mother or even to motivate people ) I have always wanted to help with motivating people and also help people who suffer with mental health issues as it has been a big part of my life for the past 7 years.
